 Wow, I wasnt expecting this at all, I thought these guys were fast new school, but they are old old school! Bad Brains, Underdog (Richie Underdog actually is on the opening track!) type of old school. Switch's vocals are absolutely amazing, totally grab your attention.
And the rest of the lads are just great, really adding their own blend to their sound. The music is old school as I said above but with the surprised addition of some more rocking riffs - pretty cool! Theres also plenty of groove parts to the music too. Also surprising is the length of some of the songs, I usually like songs to be under the 3 minute mark, but on Escapades some of the songs are over 3 minutes 2 songs are over 5 minutes - "Don’t Tell Anyone" and "Do You Know" - but you dont even notice it, the songs are slow, but not dragged out, Switch's vocals hold your attention, and the music will have you moving along to the songs. Even the 2 minute songs move slowly but dont bore at all.
While I like my fast and hard hardcore, its good to hear a band playing some very old school style mixing with what can only be described as Justice style. Melodic old school hardcore with with plenty of rock and groove! And the more I listen to this the more I like it! Check out their myspace for a listen.
