 Not what I'd usually listen to but this just kept my attention long enough to listen to more and actual review them. ES play a rocking mix of pop punk / power pop. Theres no one I can compare them as they're not really what I'd listen to, but if that genre is your thing then maybe you'll dig them.

I'm not going to go thru this whole CD cause that would take far too long, I'm going to pick out my fav bits. First up I'm going mention Woof who we reviewing here a long time ago, and loved them then, so its great to see they are still knocking about. The play fast old school hardcore, plenty of backing vocals, I'd probably say these are my favs of the CD and I havent listened to the rest yet!

xKick To Tha Headx’s 2006 demo is tough guy, straight edge hardcore from Springfield, Illinois with an anti-racist attitude as evidenced by their live show at the Labyrinth in Detroit a couple of months ago.

Theres two things you can count on from NTB. Firstly they wont leave it too long between releases (this is our 4th reviewing them, an album every year for the the last 3 plus a split). Secondly you are guaranteed an album of true hardcore.

Heading on tour with these boys in June doing their merch and experiencing loads more ropey situations, so I expect ya all who come see them to buy one of these!
Backfire has been one of my favourite bands for a long time, and probably the only band that I have every album they've released, 2000s "Still Dedicated" heavily played on my mp3 player, and one of the bands that introduced me to "eurocore".
This must be the first hardcore I've reviewed, or even heard from Turkey. Now this release is from 2006, and I'm not sure if I misplaced it or they sent it recently, so apologies if this review is overdue! But their MySpace is active so they are still at it.
This has been one a hard one to review, i really like it but I cant really put my finger on what kind of sound the guys are doing, theres a mad mix of old school hardcore, oi, punk, sleazy rock, and even some slight stoner/sludge stuff going on here.
A nice surprise this, I was expecting some third rate sceamy bad punk, but actually The Lobotomies are pretty fucking good, mixing up some thrashy punk with some nice dashes of hardcore.
Sometimes things at HT-HQ! get kinda stagnant, nothing that outstanding
comes in for review, but when I saw the GSR package on the floor and
opened it up and saw the new Setup CD, I knew that I wouldn't be
dissapointed. Belgium's The Setup are one of my favourite bands, and I think probably GSR's best...... my only gripe is that I havent got to see them live yet, as if the sound as good on CD then live must be some experience!
"Invite Your Soul" is Zero Mentality's follow up to their great debut “In Fear Of Forever”, and while I wouldnt place IYS up there with the debut, ZM have certainly brought out an interesting new album.
H-Tray are a metal(core) band hailing from France. They have been knocking around since 2001 by this CD "Distressing Report" is their first full length release.
Vayizaku (to call out in Hebrew) features Albert (outta New Jersey) and his pop-punk-rock-fun one man show, he writes and plays everything, and when playing live does so with help from a backing track. He describes himself as "A ONE-MAN ROCK-STRAVAGANZA" which is a pretty good sumation.
Wow, I wasnt expecting this at all, I thought these guys were fast new school, but they are old old school! Bad Brains, Underdog (Richie Underdog actually is on the opening track!) type of old school. Switch's vocals are absolutely amazing, totally grab your attention.
Since the Flood are one of Metal Blades newest siginings (Metal Blade had re-released their debut "Valor and Vengeance" with their first label Ironclad, an album I must check out if its anythign like "No Compromise")
Its very obvious from the start that the most important thing about In Liars We Trust is their lyrics and message, and the music is secondary. Something lacking these - a band making an album full of meaning and not singing about bullshit.
Heartfelt is a fairly known band in HT-HQ, having reviewed them before on their own release "Explosive", and really liked them then. You can always expect something good from a Dutch band, be it hardcore, punk or oi and Heartfelt are no exception. Heartfelt offer us some punk fused hardcore on "Take It Or Leave It", their second release for Sheild Recordings.
Brutal Assault hail from Israel and blast out 16 (in just over 21 minutes) raw trashy hardcore tracks, including a cover of "Face to Face" by The Faith. They sing in Hebrew (but supply lyrics in English), but that doesnt really matter because the style is very raw and gruff and you'll be nodding along regardless. The music is for the most part fast and snappy but at times surprises you with some more melodic moments.
Most of you have probably heard these guys by now, they have been busy over the last while - they were on the Victory Tour 2006, recorded The Bee-Gees "Stayin Alive"!! for the soundtrack to the movie Crank, have tracks on Madden NFL 07 and Tony Hawks Downhill Jam, and theres more! Their music is also used for TNA Wrestling!
I have heard loads about these guys, both good things and bad, but apart from some online stuff, this is my first time getting around to really hear them - with Broadcasting, their second album for Victory Records - and what I hear I'm liking.
